our exhibition has opened at the Nederlands Leder en Schoenen Museum

The exhibition runs from April 7 to May 20 at The Dutch Leather and Shoe Museum. There is still time to vote for which ainsley-t should be donated to the Museum’s permanent collection as the opinion poll remains open until April 25. Our creative director Stuart Thom will be present at the Museum for a Meet and Greet that day and will announce the winner in person.

The exhibition features a number of our production designs but we are also presenting three new special designs at the Museum, taking the opportunity to explore some creative directions that we enjoy.

Chocolates. Sex. Chocolates. Leather. Shoes. Submission. Eating. Submission. With themes like these in play, the Feed Plug almost designed itself. Most of our time was spent working out the best way to present the ceremonial offering with which Mistress rewards Her submissive. Initially we looked at a shallow cone turned from solid metal before choosing a disk of polished stainless steel held in place by a stand in machined and polished brass. The chocolate stays in place courtesy of a spike in the center, so Mistress can make her entrance without fear of anticlimax. Feed

Rub We were tired of seeing designers competing to put as many studs as possible on their shoes. But for this exhibition piece - think Sculpture, not Shoe - we wanted to take this by now classic solution in a different direction. So we thought we would do more by saying less in a loud voice and enjoy the colors of polished copper alloy while making a nod to current trends with fluorescent orange patent leather. And do we really have to tell you why do we call it a Rub Plug?

The idea of a cock ring on a shoe has been with us for quite a while, one that we have previously explored with our Absolute boot. For the Halo Plug we wanted to reinterpret the cock ring in fine nappa leather, to match the shoe on which it rides. And pulling the ring the up around the plug heel itself was a temptation of geometry we simply couldn’t resist. It’s removeable, naturally. Halo

Stuart will be also bringing another special design with him to the Meet and Greet, details will follow in the near future. Keep updated at our Facebook page.
